WHAT IS PHYSICAL THERAPY AND HOW DOES IT HELP?

Physical therapy treats injuries or conditions that limit an individual’s ability to move and perform functional activities on a daily basis. Physical therapists refer to an individual's history and physical examination to determine a diagnosis and establish a treatment plan and, when applicable, incorporate the results of X-rays, CT-scans or MRI findings. Electrodiagnostic testing (e.g., electromyograms and nerve conduction velocity testing) may also be included.

Physical therapy at IPTS:

    • Increases movement
    • Reduces pain
    • Restores function
    • Prevents disability

We treat physical therapy patients with care using the following physical therapy interventions:

    • Custom exercises
